Who We Are: The Renaissance Collaborative, Inc (TRC) is a 18-year-old nonprofit community based supportive housing organization located on the south side of Chicago dedicated to providing comprehensive supportive services, in an affordable housing environment, that enables 101 formerly homeless adults to achieve self-sufficiency. TRC’s mission is to facilitate the restoration of Bronzeville as a mixed income community by creating innovative housing solutions, economic development, and employment oppoutunities that renews people and builds a healthier Bronzeville. Bronzeville Green is a subsidiary of The Renaissance Collaborative, Inc. (TRC) Bronzeville Green is a social enterprise that facilitates a transitional jobs training program. Bronzeville Green is an incredible way for community stakeholders to mutually benefit by partnering with our organization to contribute to the Bronzeville community, its economy, and the revitalization of its less fortunate residents. Bronzeville Green is designed to help TRC tenants and community residents obtain the next level of self sufficiency, employment and independence, by providing them with an opportunity to build a job history and acquire basic job skills. The aim of the Bronzeville Green is to provide tenants with a credible employment history and marketable job skills so that they can more easily re-enter the job market.
