I Dance with Wood
I am a master woodturner who makes creations from wood that I sell online to anyone who loves handcrafted wood products. Woodturning is both a craft and an art in which a lathe and various tools are used to create round objects from wood (as opposed to woodworking which includes flat objects). Examples of these objects are bowls, vases, platters, salt and pepper mills, urns, and free-form artistic objects. My company’s name—I Dance with Wood—reflects my relationship with the wood I turn. I “dance” with wood to bring out its essence, grain, color, and natural beauty and let the wood tell its own story.
My logo should not be something obvious like a man dancing with a piece of wood. It should be elegant and capture the qualities I’ve described above. The byline for the logo should be, “Fine Woodturned Creations.” It should also not include any of the specific objects I’ve listed above since I make a wide variety and don’t want to imply that I make only one kind of object (for example, bowls).
