New waterfront restaurant in an upscale tourist destination, serving modern coastal cuisine with a southern flair. Restaurant is open-air, over the water, and has phenomenal views (especially at sunset). Dress is resort casual. There are a variety of watersports activities happening behind the restaurant during the day that create a fun and lively atmosphere. The town where we are located is a historical fishing village. In keeping with the heritage of the area, "The Edge" is named after a popular local fishing spot where the continental shelf drops off along the 100-Fathom Curve. It also refers to the location of the restaurant being over the edge of the water (not just waterfront, but built out on top of pilings on the water). The building is new but was built with the fishing village's history in mind with a weathered wood look. We will be mixing old (weathered wood, galvanized metal, fisherman's lanterns) and new (white marble, white shade sails, turf, and string lights) in the design of the restaurant. Looking for a clean, modern, upscale, coastal vibe.
