Vitrectomy Care
We rent face-down recovery equipment for people who have had vitrectomy, retinal or macular hole surgery. Patients are required to remain in a face-down position 23 hours and 50 minutes per day for one week following this surgery. Our specially equipped massage chairs and travel mates provide support while travelling, sitting, watching tv, working or sleeping so that the patient can remain face down. Patients can work, watch tv, sit upright while keeping their faces down and do lots of activities that they couldn't otherwise do. We provide a special mirror for watching tv and custom cut foam support to help patients sleep face down. See our website at www,vitrectomycare.com for photos.
