A Revolutionary Summer (ARS) is an intensive reading and writing program dedicated to shifting harmful narratives about Black people and Blackness. Our mission is to present Black children and youth with authentic, anti-racist images of themselves and to simultaneously remind them that they are more than those images. We are led by a team of Black educators and artists with decades of experience executing high-quality, specialized youth programming. We work with and advocate for Baltimore youth in our everyday, full-time roles and come together each summer to use our skills, talents, and deep love of Black children to deliver ARS. Summer 2026 will be our eleventh year in existence and our first year offering programming to Black boys. We need a logo that reflects this shift. Our current logo centers Black girls.
