First Senior Center of Georgia
First Senior Center of Georgia We, as a non-profit organization, are dedicated to providing free services to the Vietnamese elderly community in Atlanta and the surrounding areas. We are acutely aware that they are vulnerable individuals who face numerous challenges and hardships while living in the United States. They find themselves caught between two cultures and struggle with language barriers, limited education, and the difficulties of adapting to a modern environment. As a result of these obstacles, many Vietnamese seniors experience low income and limited access to high-paying jobs. As they age, they often feel isolated and find it challenging to engage with societal advancements. We understand and aspire to help them in every aspect of their daily lives. We have created a community and an environment that fosters care, social interaction, and the sharing of Vietnamese cuisine and culture. We provide essential supplies and financial assistance in emergency situations. We firmly believe that every Vietnamese senior deserves a happy and meaningful life. We are committed to standing by their side, offering support and hope, so that they can fully enjoy life and feel cared for and valued. Vision: Our vision is to cultivate a thriving community where Vietnamese and minority seniors discover a sense of belonging, experience exceptional care, and lead fulfilling lives during their golden years. Mission: First Senior Center of Georgia is dedicated to providing quality culturally and linguistically competent health and social services to Vietnamese and minority seniors in Georgia.
