I would like to get closer to perfecting the logo category before expanding into other areas for now. I think all will agree that although things work well enough, there is lots of improvements to be made.

and think of this.

if you DO get to design stationary for the client after the logo you can charge WHATEVER you want! and not what they want! so you can charge the actual amount the work is worth! so its actually a good thing! YOU get to set the price:)

Packaging, stationery, and such gets a bit more problematic. There's usually a lot more work involved and it's spec work, so more time is spent with no guarantee of a payout. Logos are usually less involved.

yea that sort of thing would be much much much much harder to implement in this 'online contest' style of designing. and as tyler said theres still alot of work to be done on perfecting what we have before we try to expand the site.
im not saying i think its a bad idea though =)

na,
leave it specialised, it will get too big to be enjoyable then,
you'll lose the small community feel and end up like 99,
maybe franchise/spinoff it and have separate site for
stationery and websites if you need to.

But I do like designing stationery, especially if designed the logo.
I give the Ch's the option and my price once I've won a contest.
(after you've also given them 875 different variations and formats of their logo)

If they need stationery they usually want me to do it too,
a lot don't need stationery straight away anyway.
since its usually American contests the exchange rate works in their favour.
I've won a couple of Aussie contests too which work out easier, and occasionally
organise printing too.

What part of Aus are you in bugy?
(Charcoal's just a short drive from me... small world)
