Hi Guys (and ladies...:))

Is there a way to search LT for contests by name (ex: AAA business, event name, team name, etc.) or by categories? (ex: Medical, Sports, Churches, etc.)

You can use the portfolio to look for contests by type. However, specific search functions are not available at this time.

It's on a to-do list :) It's a long list.

also please add this to that "to do list" "search form in Forum" !!

This feature should exist here in LT only for active contests, probably it represent much extra work but could be worth it.

I like the fact that there is no search option and if it depended on me it would stay so

In one way it is, but in another it could be detrimental.
For example: potential contest holders wanting to view successful contests from the past with keywords from their own industry etc.

This is very true. It's a nice to have feature, and it will be here eventually, but with the way the site operates it is not critical at this point.
