Is it common to extend the contest? Do new designers tend to come in if you extend?

Last few hours of my contest www.logotournament.com/contests/the_insiders

the position to extend is one that you may have to make based on how you feel the contest has gone if you feel that you haven't gotten what you are exactly looking for then i would extend, with the notion that the extended period is one that really gets more feedback if needed, also as a courtesy to the extension, perhaps an idea is to narrow down the top five and have those designers work on tweaking what you may be interested in....

Thanks for the input...I am only keeping the true contenders ranked, keeping it narrowed to just my favorite 4-5 logos on both white an black backgrounds. I ended up extending it just 2 days, figuring I can still end the contest today if a winner is clear.

Looking for fresh ideas. Day and a half left in my contest.
