Hey I'm having trouble working out which fonts are legally ok for commercial use. I've worked out some that are available but can anyone tell me whether standard fonts like 'arial' or 'impact' etc are legal to use? And font's that stem from other fonts confuse me as to whether the license is ok..
I've researched a bit but the licenses are pretty in depth and I'd rather be designing than studing a novel on font laws, LoL. Any help appreciated.

Also, I'm wondering the difference between 'Lino font' and 'true type' ? If you buy a certain font, say for $60 or so, is this the license to use it commercially?

RAD THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS for LinoType go to their website..they are the best source for licensing...we as designers are not in positon to tell you the licensing agreement..
if we give advice and it turns out to be wrong then you'll end up being in a worse position...last thing you want to do is say "well somebody told me I could use it"
