So my contest started out great and I have a couple of designs that are close and i have been ranking and posting feedback. Is it normal to have a few right out of the gate and then a lull? Will it pick up towards the end of the contest?

Hi, yes, I noticed that too, it's not usually THIS slow though, but things unfortunately usually pick up at the VERY end (like the last day or two).

its quite normal to have a slow period in the middle,

keep in mind you can extend your contest (even after its finished) to get more entries if necessary

Definitely nothing out of the ordinary - and with a fairly long contest time you'll find that lull might not pick up full steam till the last few days.

But please keep the ranking and feedback coming - that's the key.
