This is a “reverse image search engine"

I think this could be used to find designs or logos that are all ready out there.
May be the software or what ever goes on behind the page could be used in LT?

It would be a possible way to pick out the copy cats using other designers work (if it only searched the LT Data base) Or it could find work from designers outside LT.

Ether way if this was integrated in to the site it would if not be 100% accurate It would defiantly be a deterrent to newcomers to even think about copying work?

Great find Andy! Whether it's technically possible or not might depend on whether TinEye has a web service or API for LT to use. Either way though, this is going on my bookmarks toolbar for easy access! I was just reading some blogs about logo lookalikes and will be posting a new thread soon to help designers and CHs alike. Thanks for sharing! I need to test this out!

@Tyler: I tried it, but I think that right now it finds only by image name, not by the content. I uploaded some stuff and it didn't give me anything back.

which contest I'll investigate

Daz was online and took care of it -- the designer has since removed the designs.

Under the "match", click on "compare images" and toggle -- pretty cool.

This site is still in its early stage of development I believe.
But as de.sign and Loquas has found it has all ready stoped 2 designers in the act.

Out of interest I downloaded the IE plug in for tinieye which lets you right click on any image on any site and it will find any matching images.

So... I tested it on the infamous LT Logo on the homepage and sure enough it found 2 results..

This is the link to the results. It’s no Logo Court Case but it did find the same font/text used for the LT Logo.
