Does anyone think I should extend my contest so as to not pressure anyone to work (including) myself on the holiday? I did not plan ahead for the date when starting the contest. My apologies.

I think that all depends on whether or not you've found your logo!

i wouldn't think it would be that much of an issue, keep in mind many designers on LT are not American and hence the 4th of july is just another day for most of us =)

plus, the entire world does not celebrate July 4th...there are designers from all around the world most likely will still submit designs each and everyday. Personally, i don't care what day it is...i'll design obsessively.
