I am in the top 5 phase and have not received any more submissions since the last phase ended. It Says need to update my rankings. All of my submissions are ranked though. What should I do? I only have one day left in the contest.

If at the end you feel you have not got what you want you can ask extension, but I see many great designs there. Its more about quality than quantity :)
One reason here why not much activity at this moment is the weekend. Yes I know it sounds weird but designers are people too :D
So yes if if you are not 100% sure about designs you have now and if at the end you still not sure you can ask extension.
