Conceptual approach is a good start (i.e. Zombie Head) Font used is not bold enough and does not stand out. I would not restrict the logo to be a patch as any logo could become a patch at one point. Like the creativity with the bars but it doesnt work. Looking for simplicity in the lines with a strong uniquely identifiable mascot that can stand a lone without the background or words. Good start but not near what we are looking for.
