Logo Designer
just an idea. . if you want to use logo on t shirts etc then actually plain color is better than gradient aka where one color goes smoothly over to another. in print perspective plain colr is allways better :)

Client
Hi plasticity, thanks for the heads up about plain colors. . I like your design. What font did you use for the letters?

Logo Designer

i will work more on it. trying dfferent fonts etc

Can you show me a color tranisition in the logo? I know you mentioned it's easier to print with a plain color, but it's still in my mind. Also is there a way to a type of barbell or dumbbell in there, but making it attractive to women as well? Thanks.

Client
Thanks mate, my wife likes #10 more than the others. Is there a possibility where you can make the figure lift a weight?

Client
I definitely like the added weight. Thanks, will think of more suggestions.

Can you show me entry #13 with a black background?

Client
I like what you did there with #40 and #41, the bigger barbell looks better. Can you show me #40 with a white background?

Logo Designer
on white

Client
Thanks. I may be going in the wrong direction here, but can you show some different fonts for the word training? Also maybe the barbell weights do need to be a bit more visible. Not sure how to explain that.

Logo Designer
changed the weights little bit. not sure was that what you ment

Client
Yeah that's what I meant. Thanks. Although I like the effect of the slightly blurred weights people may think there's something wrong with their eyesight :-) #53 may be the best one with a white back ground for now.
#51 and #52 also look good with different font. Let me know if you have any other ideas.

Client
I definitely like the shiny effect on the weights with the black background.

Logo Designer
yep it looks cool. it all depends where and how logo is used. sometimes its good to use shiny effects, but sometimes plain colors work best
12 years ago

Client
Yeah, it will mostly be used on promotion material, which includes flyers and business cards, but also clothing/caps. Shiny probably doesn't work well on clothing and caps right?

Logo Designer
this is just an example. to show how logo can be also used and it works much better with black background
silver red combination.

Logo Designer
usually they dont yes, but shiny things works very well on promotional materials uused online. aka web banners, websites etc.

Logo Designer
logos i have made here they all work in different solutions. aka with all the effects, simpler version, plain colors and even pure black and white version. So theres many possible solutions. each version has its place where it fits
12 years ago

Client
Nice. I like that silver steel look :) This is my first contest. Would I get one version when winning or would I get more to use on different prints? Not entirely sure how it works.

Logo Designer
in contest time you can choose only one as winner. but if contest is ended and if you want you can contact the wnning designer and ask other versions of winning logo as well. Usually designers are very happy to provide you with other versions of their winning design.

Client
Alright, cool. Thanks for clearing that up.

Logo Designer
but as the main logo you get is vector file it is very easy to modify as you want if you have software to do it. Vector is a format that allows to scale logo without quality loss, Instead of raster graphics that if you scale them they get messy and pixelated
12 years ago

Client
what kind of software would that be? Like Adobe illustrator?
I like the steel look and font, can you show me what it looks like with a white background (#53) or would you do something different?

Logo Designer
i needed to change a original steel one just a little bit, so heres the changed black background version

(This comment references Entry #58)

Logo Designer
and heres white version. It works but it looks better on black, Printin steel/silver does not give very good results usually, but it can be used for example vehicle decals. the weights can be cutted out of silver metallic decals. or same can be done where ever decals can be used. Even on windows etc

About software, yes Adobe Illustrator is one of them. other is Corel Draw. But I dont think you must have it, because you will send (i think) your logos and info to design company anyway who makes the promotional material

Logo Designer
to make steel logo on white better to work, we can add little black stroke around the steel part

Thanks mate, you work quick :-)
Will leave feedback in about 12 hours from now.

You're right, the steel version looks a lot better on black, but the black stroke helps. I will get the mrs to have a look at that one.
I decided to have the contest extended for a couple of days. It just gives me a little bit more time to figure out what I want. Hope that works with you as well. It's good you're trying different variations. I think the barbell looks better than the dumbells to be honest. I also like what you did with the letters in #65, sort of overlapping, but I do like the Y slightly taller than the others. Not entirely sure if that looks good though.

Logo Designer
made Y taller. This version for me seems more compact one. and i somehow like it better. But its very personal opinion :)

Client
hehe I love personal opinions, always good to have. I will think about that one. I definitely like the letters like that, slightly overlapping. Ok this is for the mrs, can you try one with a turquoise background?

Logo Designer
not sure its the right Turquoise

Is red set in stone or can i try different color versions too? maybe something that gives it more enery or so

Red isn't set in stone at all. And I kinda like the different colours now that I see them. Wow this is going to be a lot harder haha.

Logo Designer
:D

bright colors like the #71 and #72 are very good because they are eyecatching. idea of the logo is to make it visible as possible. So bright colors works very well on that. Some people think that bright colors are not colors that represent trust. but i think its weird thinking :) color is color
12 years ago

Client
#73 looks pretty cool, may be a bit more attractive to women than red...

Client
Yeah I agree. Besides that black/red combination has been done a lot already. Hmm tough!

Logo Designer
colors can be change at any time. You should maybe visulaize diferent colors in enviroment where the logo goes. example if you have a training place what it looks like what colors would fit there. interior and exterior and surrondings.

Logo Designer
well blue is neutral color so it should fit for both men and women
12 years ago

Logo Designer
bit darker blue

(This comment references Entry #75)

Client
That looks good on white. Would it be possible to get different types of colors in the end or would I have to choose just 1?

Logo Designer
as i said before. you can choose one as winner, but after contest ends and you have accepted the files that includes the winning entry, you can contact designer and ask other versions too. we cannot offer different version in contest time but after contest is ended we can send different versions to Contest Holders if they want them
12 years ago

Client
I do think I like to stick to the steel look for the letters and bar on black, did you change that in the last one?

Logo Designer
ahh steel. sorry forgot to upload that :) coming right up

Client
Thanks for answering all my questions mate. I appreciate it.
