YoYo MaaLogo Design Contest

Hi Tere,

Thanks for your submission. I like your use of the Y in the words. I would like to have a pictorial or abstract mark included in the logo. In the brief slider you will see I had fun as a big aspect of the logo. Yogurtologists is a made up term to say we are yogurt specialists.

I am happy for you to work with this concept or the self serve aspect but from a different angle. What other things represent self serve or professors or doctors who are specialists.

Maybe the pictorial or abstract mark can be incorporated into the logo with one of the letters or all of them.

I was trying to stay away from the typical soft serve look logo since it seems you are asking for something representative ony.

That is spot on. Our brand is about fun and simple and clever. The typical soft serve look has been done to death and in our market is just starting. All of my future competitors will launch with yogurt looking logo's. Our name is a bit of fun, catchy.

Hi I like the Yoyo and the colours are nice. What other colours can you do?

Could you put the first yo in a big yo yo and have the second you and the word maa be the string.

Will be trick as it still needs to read clearly.

Hi Tere, That is great work, thanks for that. Entry #72 is the closest to what I envisage. Could u try the first Yo in a softer font and I am not sure how but the yo maa in the string to be a bit more legible. Yep it is tricky, but if executed correctly would be perfect.

I will work on that for you...give me a little time...I'll try to have something this evening.

Hi Tere, I like the position of the yoyos and their string in entry #75. Could I see the string softer and the the Ys of the yoyo in lower case. I would also like a softer fatter font that feels like yogurt. Thanks again for your work.

Here are two from your previous request...let me know if you want to see different fonts, scripts, serifs etc.

In your notes above do you mean a more rounded font? in reference to a font that feels like yogurt or a font that has swirls? I will see what I can find for you...

#78 #79 -squishy rounded fonts for the yo in the yoyo. see what I ranked 2 in the contest as a guide. Thanks for searching on the fonts. Do you think the actual yoyo could be llying down in a three quarter way, like if you were spinning the yoyo and it was coming to the end of its' momentum and almost about to fall flat. Maybe like a spinning coin coming to the end of its rotation? The yo maa font coming out of the yoyo looks a bit out of place. It is definitely more legible, but a bit far from the rope idea.

here are two a little more playful with an original handscript with a rounded feel for yogurt.

You are in the Top 5 Phase now and only those designers can enter new designs.

ok got them. Entry #103 is nice with the colour. Can you take the hook from the top of the start of each y and give the strings some movement. need to include yogurtologists as well
