abstract style of ball with a curvey, gestural Y (for youth). in terms of a true 'logo' I think this could be a stand alone icon or logo of itself without needing the full name of your business. the dark circle serves as a base to hold the gestural, abstract shape of the Y. compared to what i've seen so far from other entries, they have good designs, but they seem more like company labels or signage. if you look at logos particular to the sports industry (Nike, Adidas, Under Armour, Puma, Easton...) they tend to have an icon or symbol that often stands alone without the full brand name. With customers like your target audience, they should be very drawn to these brands and brand logos.
