LOL. Quality problem to have, 2 great designs, right? I appreciate your offer to provide me with both...given that, I'm going to choose the pen design as the winner, and the cleaner one will be second.
Im still kinda torn myself, but i have no problem supplying you with both in case you change your mind. I do like the cleanliness of this one, but the fact remains that you wanted a pen in there, and as the pen design is pretty clean in itself too makes the decision that much harder for me :/
Hey raymer. Awarding you as winner and I feel this is the strongest and cleanest logo, but I'm torn about the number 73 with pen! The pen adds a little something....you're welcome to weigh in :)
You're welcome. This is my first time using logo tournament, I will figure out how to leave a testimonial for you, too. I hope to also do another logo in a few months for my fiction.
You are a true professional!! Thank you, this is just fabulous. The pen is a cool feature and I am torn, but I think it takes away from the design and you seemed to agree. Can you remove it?
yes!! perfect tweak! if you could brighten up the salmon box just a bit, so it's closer to number 57, and take out the pen, we're good to go. I'd like to wrap this contest!
Thanks raymer. I didn't realize the gray would turn to near-black to create a shadow, and the near-black box feels heavy to me. Deciding whether I prefer this, or the version with shadows only in the salmon + turquoise boxes.
Yes, it's a very tough call about the pen! I like it but don't want it to lessen the power of the design. I'll check the update in the morning, thanks for all your great work.
I did leave the shadow out, because the overall shadow covers that 'piece', but I totally understand what you say. I have just left the PC for the night, but I will upload that for you in the morning. As for the pen, I too do like it, but I think I prefer the cleanliness of the one without, very tough call though IMO.
Such fabulous choices! This might be my top choice. But there's one thing I notice right away, which is that the 'shadows' cast from the letters in the turquoise and salmon boxes are not present in the gray box. It looks off without the consistency of that box going from lighter gray to darker gray shadows (you know what I mean, right?). And I'd love your opinion on whether this logo is stronger without the pen. It just grabs me, and I don't want anything to take away from that. Thanks!
Wow, stunning! It has a better flow in one cube, don't you think? I would like to tweak one thing: switch the pen to come in from the right lower corner. That placement would put it closer to the word 'pen' and appear that it just finished writing the words. Let's see that tweak, and also this design with no pen, please. Thanks for being willing to create the best version!!
Hi raymer. Appreciate you taking the initiative with this. It was lacking finesse and elegance and I wasn't sure what changes to make. I like that you've added dimension to each of the cubes. This design is better but still needs a few tweaks. 1. Pen should be elegant, gray w/silver highlights if possible. Think high-end clients. 2. Change background to an elegant color (silvery?) instead of lines. 3. The outside black border is too thick and heavy, can we do a more refined border? Thanks!
Your 2 new logos are cool, and may work with a bit of tweaking. (Asterisk does not work.) Before I try to make either of them work, I'd appreciate seeing what I asked for in my directions, with one word in each box - >RE 4-cube mockup attachment: the text on the gray/black and 4-color mockups would change to Your (upper left box) Story (upper right box) *My (lower left box) Pen (lower right box).
Your choice to put all the text into each small duplicate box might be better, but I'd like to have the choice if it's not too much trouble! Thanks. Purple/salmon/turquoise/dark gray boxes with white font.
My other suggestion of a "raymer-mashup" including the pen: take the above design, and replace the text in the upper right and lower left boxes with the pen you created! The 2 pens would both point inward and could be a clever, modern logo that instantly denotes writing. I don't know if the background purple of the UR/LL boxes would need to change, maybe they should be a lighter purple or light gray since the pen is purple?
I've created a couple mockups so you know what I mean, placing the boxed words above the tagline with the pen slanting in from the right, or from the left as you had it, but it seems I'm unable to post a file for you. I'd have to post in on my page attachments temporarily, is that okay?
Hi raymer! I like where you're headed, and would like to include the pen. Here's my mashup idea: take the single upper left purple box from this logo, and add it to your pen/tagline that I originally selected, replacing that original text. Then enclose the whole thing. Make sense? (I'd also appreciate a little asterisk to the left of 'my pen', per my new logo notes)
Hi, raymer. Your logo has potential. I like the tagline aesthetics and 'your story' being on the line above 'my pen', and the pen angled in, leaving a trail. Please see the new attached mockups and notes if you'd like to tweak this entry? Thanks.

p.s you need to have 3 designers in the top 3 spots, therefore the other entry would have to be in 4Yh place :)
