Entry #26 is really interesting. It is on the road to something that really concepts with our brand, but it is still a little too simple. We definitely want something that is distinctive at a glance.
Could we try without the crown and with more distinctive symbols and frills?
The final logo doesn't have to say YES or Young Entrepreneur Social. We're open to it doing so, but feel free to remove the YES or Young Entrepreneur Social text in order to replace it with symbols or frills.
#20 and #27 where both interesting to us, and both had the same potential concern/drawback. Without more detail, symbols, frills or intricacy they may not be detailed enough to be unique and instantly recognizable.
We know we want the symbol/logo to be able to stand by itself--and be recognized. Even if we ultimately add text to it. For instance, the Starbucks logo.
Entry #62 was a huge jump forward on a great track. Can you think of a way we add more imagery or symbolism to it?
We would like the icon to elicit feelings of elitism, classiness, timelessness. It might strike imagery associated with the ivy league or especially some of the old fraternity orders out of Harvard, Yale, etc.
Entry #62 remains the favorite of your designs, and still resonates better for us than the new edition that includes Y-E-S. The thing holding the concept back, in 2nd place, is the lack of raw distinctiveness is the concept.
The thing that has us attached to the 1st place concept is its immediate distinctiveness, and that it symbol strikes people with associations of elitism, unity and ivy league.
Do you have any thoughts on how to innovate on this concept in Entry #62 in a unique way?
As a head's up, we're working on our website this weekend so we will likely close the competition by the end of Saturday to do the judging.
