I definitely like the single Y better. Debating if I like the water, however I might like that Y the best. After seeing the slogan under some of the logos, I will be using "luxury linens at sea" The "Y square" artwork may need to be a little bit bigger. I like that you used the blue grey color. Your logo may have too much sophistication and not enough fun, however, I really like it. I'm wondering if you are from Akron, Ohio.
The water thing is super cool... but I need to work on it a bit.
The slogan I can change to anything, Just kind of wanted to be different
Akron, Ohio is my hometown. Registered the name on google mail a long time ago. I miss Akron
"too much sophistication and not enough fun" are you crazy? My "y"'s are insane... if you want some more crazy then you've come to the right place.... stay tuned.
Just pointing out something that's been noticed in the rankings. Might be a selling "feature" for linens though.
(This comment references Entry #62)
<edit> Let me restate this. In a certain designer chat there's been discussion that your currently ranked first is kind of on the sexual side. My bet is hedged on pointing this out to you is going to work against me... you do sell linens. Everyone is excited to see the outcome though.
#44 Try making the water look like a wave rather than a puddle and change the water to blue gray rather than black. Maybe similiar to the wave in my #2 rating. thanks
Hey, that's cool. I got my BA from Akron too, did a year in their law school also. I loved Akron and really miss it. I lived in the student ghetto for a few years (Brown St... Allen St.) and a few in Highland square. I'm from Canton originally but I still call Akron my hometown.
I'm in Warren Ohio now and pretty much hate it. Do yourself a favor and never come here :)
I also lived in Aurora for a bit when I was riding out some dot com money after collage, too stuffy for me though.
Hi. I had some updates for you based on feedback, but as your contest was ending I could not get the site to load. Parts would load but not enough to get anything in. I'm sorry, if you want to see them the first ranked designer can submit during judging. Bump me up and I'll upload them.
On the other hand I think I already have to strongest mark in the contest. The thing is... your business is competing in a very competitive market where it's tough to get recognized. My design is quite a bit more identifiable than the branding and advertising your target clientele are use to seeing daily. I guess my goal with it was to make a different type of impression. Something unique.
