...look of the stand alone brand icon in negative space version! ...logo must look good in this version as well, since it will have some practical applications (printing, embroidering, web,...).
Here's one more option with "XO" extracted from text part and made into one integrative design,...same as entry 94, but with slight laout change. This is a bit "heavier" design than wordmark design on 92/93.
Yes, when I look this with "fresh eyes" now, it would be my favorite as well,...it's well proportionaly balanced logo with good branding potential,...you can see that on deliverable entry 92, where stand alone logo icon is presented (it turned out quite unique and eye-catching, and it can easily be applied for different printing/embroidering uses, as hats, shirts, mugs, etc.)
...this design uses symbol of targed, but it is far from "Target" logo, and specialy when combined with "X", in "XO" form, like on entry 91! Thoughts!? Thanks!
Here's modified design with target element,...a bit more progressive feel to it! There's also deliverable stand alone brand icon, extracted from this design, on entry 91!
I see your point,...maybe I can play with this a bit more as well. If I come up with alternative, I'll upload it! Thanks you for elaborate feedback,...it helps to better understand what exactly you're looking for here!
...glad you like it! If you're going to use "XO" as recognizable stand alone mark for some marketing use, it is not a problem to extract "XO" and deliver it as separate file for those specific purposes (it is derivation of one design), while you'll still get to use this version as integral basic design.
I'll see if I can make some alternative layout options! Thank you for the feedback so far!
I don't hate the human in the "O" but it's not the edgy, unique feel I'm trying to communicate. While my services are "learning" they are also counter-culture to "school". I need a "learning" logo that communicates more "Rebel with a Clue" than "Yay for me!"
I'm reflecting on the target. It's very appropriate for the service I am providing. Still, it's got to stand alone (with the "X") and be recognizable. I'm concerned the "O" looks too much like the Target stores symbol. Try tweaking the "O' to remain a "target" without looking like "Target" IP.
Agreed on the font - it is cool-looking. This is, very much, in line with what I've envisioned. It's edgy and bold. I will be using the "X" and the "O" for marketing as well and should be identifiable as a stand alone brand icon. I'd like to see this design reflecting this need.
