But if feels just a bit unbalanced, the top is to tall compared to the rest. Maybe make the banner a little bitt more compact, and the banner edges slightly smaller/shorter. I understand the log and saw blade must form a circle. But maybe the router could stick up trough the log, so you can add a few saw teeth to make the saw blade the same size as the log. My aim is to get get the woodowrking banner more in the center. Maybe also use the font from one of your previous logos. 8 years ago sculptor commented on #23 Withdrawn I like an idea of the wood log a lot. Will try to make up something like this. As for the other design - I added arms to fill empty spaces on both sides. Indeed i tried to make logo compact as this is usual requirement for good logo. If you think more about banner I can try to spread it more. 8 years ago Cowb0y2000 commented on #23 Withdrawn This is definitely a contender as well, see the feedback for the other logo. Maybe if the top background was a wood log cut in half, or something? Otherwise keep the size of the router and see if you can adapt more from the attached logo. 8 years ago Cowb0y2000 commented on #24 Withdrawn Yes you are starting to get closer. I feel the top graphics are still to heavy and large. Maybe if you remove the arms, but keeps he hands? And I would also like to see some endings to the banner, as the example logo. And to make the font slightly thinner. And if the saw blade and router get a few pixels of space from the banner. I am looking for ways to not make it feel so compact. Maybe also try and make TOOLS not bent, but smaller in size and in the middle of the saw blade. Basically keep the top part, but adapt more from the attached example logo. But I like the width of the banner and the router size! 8 years ago sculptor commented on #24 Withdrawn Please let me know if hands still look too rough and I will smooth them farther. 8 years ago sculptor commented on #17 Withdrawn Thank you for your detailed feedback. It makes perfect sense. I will work on it. 8 years ago Cowb0y2000 commented on #17 Withdrawn Hi, I really like where you are going with this! But with a few pointers. I like the hands and the router. But right now it is taking over the logo. The banner needs to be wider, so the text gets mote focus, and preferably if you can ad some twist to the banner, make it look more "banner like". And the saw blade can have a few more teeth, and make them a bit rounder at the edge, so it looks more friendly, (sharp teeth looks so hostile). Regarding the router it self can be a bit shorter, right now it is a bit to tall. And the hands, if they can be more "stylized", and more "elegant". The font is ok, but maybe something more like in the attached logo. And make the first capital "W" the same size as the rest. So in order to sum it up, right now the logo is quite aggressive in the appearance, but it is good, but I would like it to be a bit more friendly, clean and elegant. Hope this makes sense :) 8 years ago
