#2 You did a great job. We like it. Great job incorporating the current Army star while staying true to the WACVA traditional colors. We will list stuff by what we don't like or want to see changed and then by what we liked.
Don't like/change: We don't like the wings. Can you take them out?
Can we see the logo, as it is--minus the wings--without the name in the circle? We want a logo to stand alone without our title and name. For the reason, we are considering a DBA (doing business as) name change in the future. And we want to brand ourselves with this logo. That way even though there could be a name change, the public will still know who we are.
Can we see the gold color more gold and less tan/beige?
Can we see the logo in a more 1-D effect? We love the way it looks all 3-D like. However, we are worried that it might not translate well into our different uses. IE: printing from our home computers, being embroidered onto a polo...
How will this logo translate into the very small (business card) into the very large (banner) or embroidered on clothing or printed on our home computers? We worry that the stars would get lost or not show.
WE LIKE!!! The stars; the large one in the center and the smaller ones around it. Although, will the smaller stars get lost in the different print (smaller, embroidered...).
The colors--great job. We would like more gold toned.
The circle. Even when you take the words out, please leave the gold circle around the green one.
Sorry - I spent quite a bit of time trying to figure out how to make it look more distinctive and less generic, and see if I could make it look more dimensional even in only two or three solid colors
We like your original design. We didn't mean for you to redesign it...just tweak it. Take out the words. Take off the wings. In one version, we want to see the glassy effect taken off.
Hi, #148, #149, #150, and #153 are the newest versions which have the original gold, two slightly darker grays, and a thicker gold ring (on #149 and #150)
Please resubmit your designs! They were in our top two selections. We were taking those 4 variations to the Logo Committee tomorrow!!!
We are sorry about the way we ranked the logos (and had our other top selection-in all of it's various forms-in front of yours. We now understand that this might have made you think you weren't ranked in the top 2. This is our first time doing this and we realize we made a mistake.
Like we wrote in our previous message, we just got on-line to rearrange the logos and put our top favorite of yours and the top favorite of the other logo as #1 and #2 and your was gone.
Also, we requested an extension on Saturday when we got down to under 24 hours and had only 9 logos. Because the LogoTournament home office is closed on weekends, they just now gave us the extension. We forgot we asked for it because we found 2 fantastic logos to choose from.
WE ARE TAKING YOUR LOGO WITH OUR OTHER TOP DESIGN TO THE LOGO COMMITTEE TOMORROW, APRIL 12TH AT NOON!!!
Sorry, it didn't seem like I had much of a chance of winning, so I took them down so I could use the design for something else. I'll go ahead and reinstate all of them.
Oh, OK - no it's an optical illusion, I accidentally saved #122 and #195 out at a smaller size than #160, so they look like they have a thinner outer ring. Did you want me to make the outer ring thicker on those two? (and I think the gold needs to be changed on #122, right?)
Your logo was beautiful and was top ranked. Thank you for your participation. I hope this logo finds a good home by an organization that appreciates it!!!
