I changed the expression on the monkey completely. It's kind of hard to keep track of all the various feedback I have received so please let me know what I can do to make this a winner for you.

Thanks for sticking with me. I like the eyes facing right better, maybe create white space above the eye as if a lid were closing down, vs up from bottom. It's almost as if he's yawning. And the font is too clean/slick. Thank you.

Can you make a change to this one for me. Have his eyes a little closed. It's a bit unnerving how wide open his eyes are. Ha!

Just ideas...

Maybe get rid of the solder iron, I like the tail element. Turn dot of the "i" into a small gear?

I do like this one... I usually have to sit on designs for a few days ultimately and sometimes come back to ones I hadn't originally cared for. It's a process I'm sure you're familiar with. Stay with me, I like your work!

What about the head without the circular tail, but with the soldering iron text from the other one?

Cool font! Great soldering iron! Unfortunately it's leaning too heavy now on electronics. My fault.

Instead of what looks like a headphone plug can you try to make it a soldering iron shape?

Ha! Great, but now you have to rein it in a bit. He just looks angry and like he's about to kick someone while they're down. Ha. Made me laugh though! Maybe more toward intense and somehow joyful determination. Thank you for your efforts! Also, can you take a look at what the logo looks like without the text? I think it will be a bit unbalanced without it and I do want to use it without text sometimes, Imagine nike. And maybe wrap the text around the logo since it is already lending itself to a circular shape? I prefer the older font now that I see this one, but neither is quite right yet. Sure I’ll try some of those fonts but I’m away from my computer for the rest of the night. I’ll try to do it first thing in the morning.

The only thing about that is that you can never separate the text from the logo but I'll show it to you so you can see

I prefer the previous tail top, but like the longer plug end. I imagine the end of the monkey's tail to be the plug, that's why I prefer the previous one. Also, the "k" looks a bit too much like an "r". I like the font in general, but maybe a different choice with a more standard "k"?

What do you think of this? I think it might be hard to incorporate an additional woodworking element without it getting too busy.

Mischievous is the word I was looking for. The monkey's expression is one of a child who just did something wrong, but is naive enough that he's really innocent of the wrong doing. I want a little more intention from the expression, maybe something went wrong, but it was because the monkey was up to no good intentionally. Maybe it's the eyes looking sideways vs. up and away. Not sure.

OK, great. I look forward to seeing more of your work/ideas! I also work with wood quite a bit. I don't want to make the logo any busier, but maybe there is a way to hint at woodworking. I'm trying not to be cheesy. Maybe ruler ticks, without numbers, below the text? I don't know. See what you can come up with. Thank you.

Yes, I like that he looks like he just got himself into trouble. There is a lot of character in both the facial expression and the shape of the head. Very good overall! Maybe just play around, your instincts are great. Or maybe try one a bit more abstract and/or retro.

Can you make the plug tip a tiny bit longer so proportionally it's more like a headphone plug. This one is so good, maybe play around with the monkey's expression a bit. He looks like he's surprised and I like it, but maybe a little like he's up to no good or devious. Maybe even try sad or serious.

Thanks for the ranking and feedback. I'll see if I have any more ideas. Maybe I'll work on the tail a bit more. Do you have any specific feedback as to what you don't like about it or what else you would want to see. I tried to keep the monkey simple but also give him some character.
