No problems at all, uploading that version in a mo. Cheers Angus 8 years ago Jonathan - Wild Stoves commented on #159 Withdrawn Hi Angus. Thanks for this - and your take on the vertical / 7oclock versions. OK - we'll stay true and stick to my original preference too - and most people's. No word from admin yet. Could we also try green Wild and Orange solar please? Thanks - J 8 years ago Angus commented on #154 Withdrawn Yep will try an orange Wild now for you ... Tough call, but I think this one wins out. The angle is different, but personally I prefer simplicity, so the straight one sits better for me :) 8 years ago Jonathan - Wild Stoves commented on #154 Withdrawn Incidentally - would you have gone for this or #95, with it inclined at 7pm? It was a close shave between these two - some say the angle makes it look less like a sunflower / lightbulb; but the 6 o'clock version does have a nice simplicity... Interested in your design / pro opinion! 8 years ago Jonathan - Wild Stoves commented on #154 Withdrawn Thanks - could we try with orange Wild please? 8 years ago Angus commented on #94 Withdrawn Hi Jonathan, Cool, hopefully Admin can help quicker! I've just uploaded a few options with the wording. Cheers Angus 8 years ago Angus commented on #157 Withdrawn With Wild Solar and URL. 8 years ago Angus commented on #156 Withdrawn With Wild Solar and tagline 2. 8 years ago Angus commented on #155 Withdrawn With Wild Solar and tagline 1. 8 years ago Angus commented on #154 Withdrawn With just Wild Solar. 8 years ago Jonathan - Wild Stoves commented on #94 Withdrawn Hi Angus. Understood you need to stick to the protocol - that's all fine. I've emailed admin to see if they can end ours now, otherwise we'll hopefully be able to do it shortly, though the guidance says only possible towards end of Finalise stage. We shall see. Cheers, J 8 years ago Angus commented on #94 Withdrawn Hi Jonathan, OK great, will use the one from before. And no problem, will work up without the strapline and then some with the various options. I'm happy to supply you with the various ones no, problems - but would have to do that after the contest is over i.e. I'm only able to upload the winning logo. But can email the others across. I believe you should be able to end it once it gets into the next stage of the contest "Finalist" stage. Or Admin might be able to help sooner if you drop them an email? Unfortunately we're not allowed to deal / chat via email until the contest is over, sorry, site rules. But as soon as its over we can, and I can send the other versions over. Cheers Angus 8 years ago Jonathan - Wild Stoves commented on #94 Withdrawn jonathan@wildstoves.co.uk 8 years ago Jonathan - Wild Stoves commented on #94 Withdrawn Hi Angus. It looks like the font you used in earlier versions works fine - and matches our Wild Stoves font. Let's finalise the Wild Stoves look and I'd like a version without any strapline, then a couple more versions with different streamlines if possible? 'Off-grid event power'; 'Solar mobile phone charging'; and 'www.wildsolar.co.uk'. If your spec is only to give one, then let me know - I don't want to take the piss. I see I can't end the contest yet: I'm in a hurry to get some stuff printed and painted - is there some way we can move this to email so I can get the files? Not sure what the protocol is here... Thanks, Jonathan 8 years ago Angus commented on #94 Withdrawn Hi Jonathan, Great news, and thanks for a great contest! Its been my pleasure :) No problems at all - do you want just Wild Solar or that with the strapline? Font wise ... its whether you'd prefer to stay similar to you Wild Stoves one (but different), so one I used in earlier options. Or if you'd like the same as Wild Stoves I can see if I have that font if you know it? Or I can try a few different ones. I think either way, it would make sense to go down the "similar" route, with a handwritten style. That way both your logos will have a similar look and feel for consistency. Speak to you soon. Cheers ANgus 8 years ago Jonathan - Wild Stoves commented on #94 Withdrawn Hi Angus. Thanks for this. We're done - we choose this one as our final preferred design. How funny you were the first in the race. Thank you for your work so far. Would you mind working up a version with Wild Solar please - we'd like vectors with the logo alone and with the agreed writing. What font do you reckon? Cheers, Jonathan 8 years ago Angus commented on #133 Withdrawn And here is this icon on its own in orange and green :) 8 years ago Angus commented on #37 Withdrawn Hi Jonathan, Thanks, glad to hear jt :) Yes of course no problems at all, will upload that now for you! Cheers Angus 8 years ago Jonathan - Wild Stoves commented on #37 Withdrawn Hi Angus. About to run a last survey with mainly your designs. They rock. Could you please do one of these without the words? And in orange / same green rather than maroon and green. Thanks! 8 years ago Angus commented on #97 Withdrawn And an option with no inner circle around the plug. 8 years ago Angus commented on #96 Withdrawn An option with just a lightening bolt. 8 years ago Angus commented on #95 Withdrawn Another option with the lightening bolt! 8 years ago Angus commented on #94 Withdrawn One option with the lightening bolt! 8 years ago Angus commented on #55 Withdrawn Hi Jonathan, Lets try it :) Will work up something now for you. Cheers Angus 8 years ago Jonathan - Wild Stoves commented on #55 Withdrawn Thank you - liking this a lot. Do you think it would be overkill to introduce a little lightning bolt into the cable? 8 years ago Jonathan - Wild Stoves commented on #11 Withdrawn Incidentally this also got rave reviews from our first survey. I'm curious to know in the next survey which one most says 'electrical plug' this one or the thin one we just commented on... Wonder if there's any obvious way of making this more 'pluggy'. Could we try without the Wild Stoves writing and strapline please. 8 years ago Angus commented on #5 Withdrawn Hi Jonathan, Thanks for the feedback, and no problems at all, will work on those options for you! Cheers Angus 8 years ago Jonathan - Wild Stoves commented on #5 Withdrawn Hi Angus - still really liking this. A few comments have come back that this is a little too polished .... wondered if you could rough it up for us a little, and add some colour. Perhaps slightly wavy less even rays, and different colour maroon? cable. Or sun dark orange? Colour scheme on the 3-pin plug was nice. Please also remove 'Wild Solar' and strapline for the moment. Many thanks! J 8 years ago Jonathan - Wild Stoves commented on #37 Withdrawn Perfect. :) 8 years ago Angus commented on #37 Withdrawn Hi Jonathan - no problems at all, here is a version with the new strapline! 8 years ago Jonathan - Wild Stoves commented on #32 Withdrawn Sorry ... any chance of one with the strapline replaced with 'Off-Grid Event Power'? Cheers, J 8 years ago Jonathan - Wild Stoves commented on #32 Withdrawn Many thanks Angus. J 8 years ago Angus commented on #34 Withdrawn And also in a simple B&W colour option. 8 years ago Angus commented on #33 Withdrawn Just showing that we can easily turn this into a white reversed out version as well. 8 years ago Angus commented on #32 Withdrawn And here is the version with the thickened plug holes! 8 years ago Angus commented on #12 Withdrawn Thanks, saw the refined brief, and I think you're right - keeping an actual phone icon / representation out of the logo will definitely future-proof it better. I think if people see the connection to "powering / charging" and it coming from the sun, then they can make the connection they'll be able to charge their phones as well as other bits. 8 years ago Angus commented on #12 Withdrawn Hi there, Yes of course no problems at all. Will do that now and upload shortly. Cheers Angus 8 years ago Jonathan - Wild Stoves commented on #12 Withdrawn Note - I've also refined my brief a little as I think I was getting too caught up on the mobile phone side of things: that's a part of what we do. Your design is still spot on, but I wanted to draw your attention to it. J 8 years ago Jonathan - Wild Stoves commented on #12 Withdrawn Thanks - I like it for its simplicity. Could you try thickening the socket holes a little. I'll then put this out to a survey, see if people get it! Cheers, Jonathan 8 years ago Angus commented on #12 Withdrawn Hi Jonathan, Thanks again for the feedback and comments. And here is another version - this time as if you're looking straight on at the plug. Cheers Angus 8 years ago Angus commented on #11 Withdrawn Hi Jonathan, Thanks again for the feedback and comments. Here is one new version - changing it to a UK 3 pin (from above). Cheers Angus 8 years ago Angus commented on #4 Withdrawn Hi Jonathan, Thanks for the feedback and comments, and of course no problems at all - uploaded a couple now for you to look at. Cheers Angus 8 years ago Jonathan - Wild Stoves commented on #4 Withdrawn Many thanks Angus - I like the simplicity of this, and scheme. Wonder how this could be adapted for British power plug? Much appreciate your efforts so far... Simple and clean is good. 8 years ago Angus commented on #4 Withdrawn Hi there, Welcome back to Logotournament - I hope this finds you well and having a good week so far? Here are some of my concepts. I've gone for something that's fairly clean and simple, yet striking. Creating an icon that works well within the logo or as a stand alone element, one that can be used for things like favicons or watermarks. The logos are 100% vector so will scale well to any size, and works well in full colour, B&W and on coloured backgrounds if needed. It would be my pleasure to work up any variations so please do say. I look forward to your comments or thoughts. Regards, Angus 8 years ago
