I'm not sure I like a bounding box, but maybe the logo centered on a river? Also, maybe a different gradient/pattern on the river element?

Not sure I like the soft river element, maybe something with a harder edge?

Would like different pattern on the river, maybe more elements to make it look more riverish?

This is a W R as the river.

I am not sure the direction you want to go with your attachments. Do you want your original river in the same position? I can do that also with or without the gradient color as I have here.

I recreated the leaves in my program, though they are not exact, they are the same.

I went ahead and gave you your river with the same gradients but can make solid too. Same layout with the leaves position as on your 2nd sample.
