I do like the style of the graphic and the style of the typeset. It's helpful to see the different color backgrounds, in case there are particular situations where the background would be other than white. I suspect the logo will be most frequently used with a white background.
My concern with the red circle on white field is that this closely resembles the flag of Japan.
