What if you flipped the colors of the words with the West Michigan being the grey color and the Counseling Association being the blue? Can you give that a try?
And make the font of the everything the same size... (N)

This particular logo seems to highlight West Michigan more than Counseling. The organization is really about counseling and not West Michigan (S)

Maybe instead of a sunrise it could be something like a grouping of stick figure like people? (N)

Also, the colors seem too dark...need to feel fresh and alive...those colors feel like night time. (N)
