Thank you! If I think we may want a file with just the glasses once the contest is over should I have you make that now? I know it said there are no revisions once the competition ends. Thanks!
JPG - is a normal image file with a white background (in this case)
GIF/PNG - they have transparent background so that they can be used in websites and other materials.
Black logo on white and white logo on black for single color printing purpose.
I will send all the files you will require apart from those mentioned here. I cannot discuss any pricing since the contest is not over (in line with the rules of Logo Tournament).
These are the additional files i will be sending :
1. GIF
2. PNG
3. PSD
4. Black on white logo (with and without accent color)
5. White on black logo (with and without accent color)
Th additional files will include complete set which you will require for print, website , social media etc.
In case you have a web designer, you can give me any resolution you want the additional files in (for website purposes) . Else i will be sending them, in International standards. Hope i answered your queries.
Because we get a black and white and a solid color... I don't know that we would need an all black logo. Probably just a whiteout (all white) and a whiteout with orange on the glasses. So maybe we wouldn't need the black and white since that is our main logo anyway? Let me know your thoughts
Ok let me know once you check the alignment so I know it's correct. Ok so this is what the contest page says we will get:
1xEPS
1x JPG 1000x800
1xJPG 500x400
1x JPG 350x280
1 color PNG
1 Black and white JPG
1 solid color JPG
1 high resolution color JPG
Because I am not sure I wanted to ask about some other files that I feel like we might need and maybe you can help me clarify if that will be included. 1. A transparent background JPG?
2. A whiteout with the orange accent on the glasses
3. Would I need a file with just the glasses if we wanted to use that on promotional material?
If we need these files and they are not included can you please include pricing for these items.
Thanks so much for your help!
Once the contest is over, i will upload the original EPS file (which will be the primary file for all print purposes) along with a high resolution JPEG image. And i will send the additional GIF, PNG, black and white out, files separately to your personal email. Do let me know if you have any queries. Thank you.
This logo is our winner! We want to make sure that it is completely aligned as far as wording and glasses. Also, wanted to discuss with you the different files that we will need/get. We will need this logo for anything from websites, tshirts, large outdoor signs, pens/table clothes, etc. We want to make sure we get the files we need. Look forward to talking to you soon and thank you for seeing our vision and making it a reality.
In this logo eye care and the glasses are aligned correct? So hard to tell. I think it is but want to make sure that everything is symmetrical. Thanks so much!
Sorry , seems like these two colors are very new to the Pantone family. I do not have them. I will get it only in the next cycle of software upgrade.
I would suggest going with this design since the Chivo font is clean and easy to read and bold at the same time. The orange here is a gripping bold color. Simpler the design, better will be the printing.
I like this. Can we do the wide wendell like in #174 but with Eye Care this size?
Also, can we see 2 more colors. 3646CP and 2347XGC.
Again, we absolutely love this design. We are just trying to decide which way we like it! Would love your thoughts and suggestions if you have any! Thanks so much for all of your help!
Ok we're getting closer. Can you make these glasses the same color as #227 and keep the glasses the same size. We want the font to be the same but Wendell to be slightly closer together (not all the way together and still bigger than the glasses) and Eye Care to be a little bigger (maybe about the same width or slightly smaller than the glasses)?
All other designs have been submitted in the order of revision comments . Please use comment activity option on top right corner to identify revisions. Thank you
I do not own Gills sans bold cond and
Myriad pro semibold and they are not free fonts. So i will not be able to submit designs with those fonts. I have submitted a design with Rockwell since it's a free for commercial use font ( #227 )
I have edited the tall font and reduced it's height #229
Also, because this logo will be used on merchandise (table cloth, pens, shirts ,etc) would love to see it in White (and the small orange piece) against a background (the color used in #217), charcoal gray, black, and a blue like #215.
I am really liking this color. Can we try these fonts:
Gills sans bold cond
Myriad pro semibold
Rockwell
I don't want the glasses to outshine the words so I want the glasses to be smaller than Wendell. I like the tall font that you used earlier (#173) so if there is a font like that but not as tall that would be great too. Still not sure whether we want the dashes like in (#173) or not or a line between wendell and eye care. We definitely want Eye and Care separated. Thanks!
Ok here are some colors that I have found to try: 3242C, 3556C, 3268U, 2186U, 2178CP. I understand what you are saying about fonts. I think you are right in that a font that is too tall would be very difficult to fit on our building sign. Could we try a couple of regular size print fonts? Some that are easy to read. Thanks so much!
While selecting a font, you may keep in mind, the print space you maybe looking at. For example, a taller font may not accommodate well in limited print space. It's always safe to go with the regular size font. The logo dimension is directly proportional to printing costs. Also, i would suggest using same fonts for both name and eye care, mainly because the difference in font styles will distract the customers (though it's very subtle, it can have impact). Supposing the logo is on a billboard, any potential customer must be able to read the name in one go. Same fonts have ease of reading, as long as the words have enough space between them.
Regarding colors, Pantone colors are the most commonly colors used for print in the US. You may use the following link, pick a color and click submit button. Then you will be shown a set of colors with with values written below them. The number makes sure we both are on the same color, irrespective of how our laptop display maybe. You may send me a couple of colors and i will submit designs accordingly.
Hi! Ok so we are loving this logo. I think we like a little more spacing between the color and black on the glasses. Still trying to figure out which color we would like to go with (what is the easiest way for us to look at colors to try to find some to get you to try? is there a color chart you use?) I think we would like to see a couple of different print fonts as well. We like easy to read like this one but maybe not so tall? Can we try a couple of different print fonts. Also, maybe even the font for eye care looking like the letters of an eye chart (all on one line but that type of font). We truly appreciate your help!
I really love this! Could I see what it would look like if we were to put it on promotional material (so the logo would be all white and the background would be a color)? This is really great!
I like this. Could I see the font changed to something like the last example i posted (tall and thin)? also Maybe an orange line between wendell and eye care or two accent dashes beside eye care? Also, can we bring the glasses closer to the words. Really love this design!!!
I really love this!! I actually love the coloring but would also like to see it in other colors just to make sure! Maybe black with another color (blue or green?)

#241 submitted with Chivo font
Franklin gothic and Lato fonts cannot be used, since they need to be purchased.
