Discussion

With a loose stylized reference to water which relates to the 'source', and also the circular icon relating to looking inwards, this logo is both modern and timeless.
I welcome any feedback to develop further.

Thanks

This is a great start to my contest -- thank you. Your design, Entry #1, clearly reflects you too the time to read my contest brief. I sincerely appreciate it. I like the colors you have chosen. In fact, I was watching a HGTV program yesterday and in one of the rooms they used, the muted turquoise, yellow, and brown together and I thought about mentioning the color scheme in my brief, but was afraid every design would end up in those colors. I'm STILL OPEN to other color schemes. I'm not sure I'm sold on the font you've chosen. Don't get me wrong, I like atypical fonts -- fresh, crisp and contemporary. I'd like to see the circular icon to the left of the text. What do you think about moving it there? Can we enlarge "Counseling & Wellness" some? Again, thank you for you entry.

Firstly, thanks for the detailed feedback. It is key to my creating a logo that fits your organization perfectly.
With regards to the font, I'm happy to explore others. I felt this one was both clean and modern with a bit of character that seemed to fit the "wellness" theme nicely.
I will explore different placement of the icon. The reason I settled upon the current layout is that I felt the centering created an immediate balance that relates to personal well-being. But I'll explore for sure.

Alternative type treatment. Horizontal format - this can be very practical for web and print use in this configuration.

Vertical treatment - the centered layout has a nice balance.

Another concept which includes an abstract water symbol, which draws the eye inwards.

A soft color behind the swirls gives depth and dimension to the icon and the overall color gives the type and icon a connected feeling. This creates a sense that you take a holistic approach to counseling and wellness.

I like the two-tone and boldness of "wellsource" as shown in #57 and would like to see it applied to #42

The icon here represents an abstract figure which has become enlightened (for want of a better word!) and also represents stylised water so it is a combination of the 'source' and the person benefitting from the counseling service.

I think I'm starting to prefer when the graphic is on the left or right side of the text. If you have time, maybe move the graphic is #61 to the left side like the others.

Your brief states: #1 - Life
#2 - Balance
#3 - Success

I have really taken this into account with this design ( #88 ).
The Life represented in the abstract human form
Balance represented in the form
Success represented in the reaching up of the form

Using the line "Grow. Discover. Thrive." I have utilised the idea of a plant symbolising the growth and thriving.
The colours are fresh and welcoming.

Entry #110 ... I like this one alot ... I think I'd like to see it in a different color scheme ... a fresh color scheme that has not already been used in the contest.

Entry #112 ... not bad, all in all i like your work

Entry #111 ... I like this one too. If it were only between #110 and #111, it would be a tough decision to make.

Thanks for the thoughts - very helpful. I'll develop these.

I have revisited the colors and I have created something that captures an holistic approach, an subtle and warming feel, and a focus of color that relates to growth. The glow in the stylized water area is like the inner self coming to the fore - the growth of the person. The word Thrive is also highlighted to tie the whole design together.

In a horizontal format. (You are quite welcome to have this logo in both vertical (stacked) and horizontal versions, for different applications... signage etc).

Slightly different leaf - the one nearer the "ground" is larger.

You asked to review the colors with something not seen in the contest. I went right back to the brief and researched something completely original and modern, yet which has an approachable nature suitable to you business.

Thanks for your consideration. I'd be most happy to discuss any elements of the design to clarify any questions you might have.
