Dear TahiaDesign,
There is much I love about your logo. It is strong and powerful. I like the square icon - maybe I'm just getting a bit overloaded with all the circles. I like the way you laid out the font and I like your font choice. #59 particularly intrigues me as it has added even more dimensionality with the shading. My only concern is that the idea of chains may have a non-business connotation...It does say well-connected, but it also says whips & chains (Ok, perhaps it's just me)...Not necessarily the right thing to convey in a woman-run biz. Your thoughts?

Hi Denise,

thanks for your feedback. I thought of the chain because it´s a clear way of showing connection and also because it´s a powerful icon that can be used alone. The chain is something strong and hard to untie. I think it´s a good resource to show the link between your customer and their goal (That´s why I used 3 links, your company being the middle one).

I didn´t see any other connotation to the chains, and I am a woman too :) , but I could try with a knot to give a softer appearance. My initial idea was the W and C connected and then I found out you call WC to the bathroom service haha. So I dismissed that option :)

I´ll be back with another version of this concept using a knot.

Thanks again for your feedback!,

Nat,
I was really hoping you would jump in on my design contest as I liked so many of your designs. There is something about women designers...

Anyway, I like the knot, but I am still drawn to the chain, even with whatever odd connotations might appear. It's partly because I 'see' a person in the chain image sort of reaching to the sky or leaping forward, which is also very powerful. It continues to grow on me. Like the shading in the box a lot too. I agree, it would be good as a stand-alone image. I guess I need to test with others if they see the 'in chains' issue that I did originally.

Any other cool images you might have up your sleeve?

Also, can I see it with the Leader, Inc. text just a bit darker. It is somewhat disappearing here.

Hi Denise,

yes, you see that because I used the chain at 45º so it´s pointing up. I tried horizontal first but for some reason it looked more powerful this way.

Just had another idea. I´ll be back.

I am eager to see what else you came up with. I still like the chain but wonder if you can push the design a bit to make it more unique - so that it couldn't be used for a boating company, for example. Keep the feel of chain/linkage but not be an actual chain link?

Hi there,
Unfortunately, i had a group of customers here tonight and they made it clear that the chain is really a bad image for my biz as most women feel chained to their jobs and are working with me to get out of that. Still like the strength of the icon style you use. The hands image looked too much like a non-profit. Can you focus instead on the concept of success and what images might be used to convey that rather than the connections themes? I still really like your eye and design sense and hope there's a way to keep your style with a different image. Thanks.
