Black directly on Red will NOT show up on signs, business cards, etc. Black directly on red is good for casting shadows but will not give enough contrast to make the object visible at a distance. I have been in the Sign business for over 30 years and this is a common mistake. Just wanted to make you aware.

January 14th, 2011, 8:56pm#10 I really like this. I do want to have "WA" in the picture of Washington State and that picture to be black. I would like it to pop. I like the style, but the "W" is too crazy. If you can come up with a cool "WA" but not too fancy that is what I am going for. I like a circle of some sort around the picture and "WA". I want it to pop!!

Let's see, I would like to have no shading in "Washington" and maybe a different font but not too different, it isn't bad. The "Home Team" is good, I don't have any great ideas for that as of yet, unless you make it black to counter the upper picture of the state. I love the line going through, separating but joining, perfect. Thanks for your contribution so far!!!

Just wanted to put this in here so I keep them straight. I will get this correct from now on, thanks for your patience.

Also if you have any ideas that you think are good, this is why we went this route. If you have some awesome design that I don't have in my parameters, that you did for some other company, obviously not real estate, shoot it my way. I think your color idea could be great. I still don't just like the white icon because it is too much of the same as every other Keller Williams sign. Let me know what you think. I just want to be able to have our branding be that icon with the "WA".

#21 I like this one. I think the shadowing in the Washington is too much, maybe a little less and then a less Washington Huskies style font. The Home Team is good, but maybe bold it or make it a bit more pronounced.

I like the line where it is. I still wish we could get more of a circle in there, for the stake it would be good branding recognition. It may not work though.

Make the WA in the symbol just a size or two smaller if possible. I like that idea. I like the white backdrop on the symbol as well. Still very professional yet makes it pop on the red.

Thanks so much!!

#57---My partner and I changed it up a bit. Look at #47. We want to go for something like this. We don't want the cursive anymore, keep it more block and the "WA" in the icon, we want it a bit more roman numeral style. I want it more centered and I really like the white bordering. The circle needs to surround it because we want it to pop out. There are so many ideas it is making me go crazy!! Thanks for your ideas.

New concept in case you decide to omit the state outline. This design is more on the high-scale spectrum. Feedback welcome.

#64 You are killing me because I like this. My partner's last name starts with "W" and for all intensive purposes, I don't want us to be mistaken for Washington D. C. on the internet. I really like the font, but I think we still need that "A" more pronounced. If you could make the circle larger and put the symbol of washington state in there somehow...I don't know. I would say the lower part is great, maybe put Home Team in black just to see what it looks like.

I want to keep this idea going though, because it is very professional looking with a nice edge to it. It is in the top two now because it stands out and is really clean. How do you brand yourself for someone selling a million dollar home and someone selling a ninety thousand dollar home. It has to be good for both and your sign meets that, but I still think having the symbol of the state somehow differentiates me from anyone else.

You watch, my partner is going to love this. See we are a unique team. She is 55 and I am a thrity year old guy that she trained in sales when I was 19. We are forming a real estate team with her experience and my drive and different experience. I sell over 60 or so a year and her top was around 220 in the 90s. I am also a builder, and like structure, so I like when a logo comes in with structure. She will probably love this design and we may go with it as long as it stands out different from all other signs. We are going to be doing a ton of internet work as well for first time home buyers and for people looking to list their house. I want people to see our symbol, whatever it ends up being and remember it when they go home. I have done a lot of signage for housing developments and we try to have some symbol to help people remember. They will almost always remember the outline of washington over the letters or what not. So, if you have any more ideas, this is about as much as I can say for you to get an idea out there!! Thanks so much for taking the time and responding to me messaging you privately.

#76 make the WA the same as #64 if that is possible. I like that font.

equal weight on the "WA", also added a little highlight to the surround.

This entry does not have the circle behind the state, however I have used the chrome accent around the state and added some shadowing to increase depth. Just a thought???

#84 and #86 I like where this is going. Try making Home Team a bit bigger I want it almost equal to Washington.

#86 Put the lines where you had them on #84 and separate the symbol. Want to see it separate. Thanks

Oh and one more thing, just throw one in there with Home Team with the same font as Washington, just want to see what it looks like. Thanks!

The symbol is too bubbly if you know what I mean. Needs to be more defined. I like #92 the best. Try to bring the W and the A closer together. They are a little too far apart. Let's try that then see from there.

Decreased kerning between the letters WA in icon and also reduced the perimeter effect on the state (less bubbly I think??). Is that what you meant. Let me know of any other changes you would like to see, more than happy to meet those request. I am on East Coast time and it is getting a little late here. I will be available in the morning when I get to the office.
