Can you shorten the left side of the V in the circle to make it look like more of a checkmark V?

Could you perhaps try making a checkmark stylized similar to the style of the letter V in this version of Volunteer, perhaps with the checkmark being contained within some sort of circular shape?

I like the V. Can you incorporate some sort of simple logo to go on the left side of the name? Staff members wear scrubs with a simple logo embroidered on their tops.
