Hello, I really like #47 and #48 with the line and the writing on the right, but I was wondering if you could make a different v and p...maybe a little more approachable?

Hi,

Thanks for appreciating my design. Sure, I'll try other takes on the VP.

Hi,

A very funny thing happened. One of my fellow designers (piraka) claimed that I stole the concept of my design (entry #47) from his (entry #1). The designs don't have anything in common, obviously. To make it even more hilarious, he took it to the so-called "logo court", where a verdict is given by the design "community". And they decided that I actually did copy piraka's design, as the V and the P are joined and they said it was his "concept"!...

Just thought you might want to have a peak behind the scenes of this marvelous enterprise that is logo contests...

Hello that is really too bad. Does this mean that you can no longer enter the contest? I still really liked the line and the right side of your design it was the v and p that I just wanted to be a little more approachable or softened... Let me know what you think about that and I am sorry that your design had to be removed! We have been working with a local graphic designer and all of his designs featured a vp together. I don't really think that this is a unique concept!

Hi,

Yes, unfortunately I'm not allowed to submit designs in your contest anymore.

There are not too many, let's say, decent ways to combine a V and a P, which makes it harder to come up with a genuine concept. The key is to have a balanced and distinct outcome. I really felt that I succeeded that with my first entry, if a bit edgy and not too friendly. But I can, of course, understand your perspective, wanting it more approachable. Another thing that I felt was less ordinary in my design was the height of the vertical line, which I believe conveys a sense of elegance.
