1st and foremost, I always love to see fellow believes here. A big part of my work is with churches and ministries, and a desire to help them build the kingdom.
#151 United. Woven together. Different diverse backgrounds bonded for one common purpose.
This concept works well on both sides of your four walls. A strong brand connects and tells a story to both sides. Your congregation should be inspired by the message, while those seeking from the outside would feel it invites them to join in the building of the kingdom. This one does that.
The shape will work well as your social media icon as well.
Hello again. You made the finalist cut. Great work.
In this phase, we're looking for the design to be flexible enough to move between all of the media applications we identified in our brief. Your designs look sharp, but will have limited clothing options due to the number of colors.
I believe we are most drawn to #107, 151 and 106. My peers like #103 and 104 as well.
In this round, we'd like to see you demonstrate the logo's flexibility. You're at 4 colors, which will look great for web and print media, but will be difficult and expensive for clothing. We'd like to see variations on the logo as follows: - Still with 4 colors, but with several different color palettes (to explore other color options) - With fewer than 4 colors - With only 2 colors (e.g. white on black or blue on white, etc.)
OK...here is some food for thought. One solution is to place a white casing on the logo. (See #182 & #183) This then makes the logo work on a dark background with no need for color changes. Since the eps vector file that we deliver is layered, so that the logo can be placed on a dark background. See: #174 #175 #176 #177 #179 #189
Note how the logo never has to change color I also threw some simplified color schemes in. More to come, but I wanted to get these to you as soon as possible.
#184 and #185 - Simplified colors, and a white on dark background. #186 and #187 - Really like these...a slight variation of the tapestry. Nice simple colors.
Also, note that colors are interchangeable. I always include different color palettes at the end of the project, for all the needed applications. So don't let the colors be of concern, because you can get all of the needed palettes at that time. (Black/white...reversed....light on dark etc...)
A few additional thoughts: - #107 and #185 - could we see it in a less rounded presentation? Maybe sharper lines. - #106 - some people are seeing a pinwheel, which is hurting this image. What could we do to lose the pinwheel? - Some additional color palettes would be great for all of the above.
Thank you so much for competing. We loved a lot of your designs, but in the end Angus had everything we wanted in a logo. FWIW, you were 2nd place. Thank you so much.
Thanks David. The contest will require you to rank three separate designers in the top three to close it...just FYI.
Also please shoot me some contact info. We offer a nice branding package for LT clients...as I also do for churches. I'd love to help you with converting your new logo to business card designs etc.
