Here is my logo for your consideration. I created a logo with a simple small farmhouse, and a small-town feeling font. I also incorporated a rising sun to signify life, growth & hope. I used only colors from the Louisiana state flag, so it will immediately be visually tied to the state.

Per your request, here is a layout that is more fitting for a government seal. I still maintained a farm-town feel, and incorporated a visual to represent "bridging the gap".

I really like the direction. I think I would like to see more elements inside the seal that represent the area.

Per your suggestions, here is a revised seal with more Louisiana elements incorporated. It is still only the colors of the state flag, keeping it equally as unified as the previous entry. I hope you like it.
