Our board members are asking if we'll be able to get each individual asset to use in this; being able to hide/remove certain layers, like the shield for an example... so it might fit better at specific pages.
The community would like to see this one updated with the tail on the right and colored red. Did we have that already among the submissions? It's a close race, but this one is always in the top 1 or 2 when we poll our users.

i think if we placed v and side by side, we will not found the vertical / horizontal balances. they must upside down or blend verticaly. lets other designer try on it
I think if we made the \ on the "A" into just a straight point at the end, instead of curving out it would do better with the Wing... Turning the \ into the actual tail, but it's just straight. As in like our previous logo brands.
The 'V' looks rather good. Can you make the top feather of the wing the actual top-left corner of the 'V'? So the wing is essentially the wing itself?
Certainly have to do something in the middle so there's no straight-line across horizontally like that though!
Was looking back through submissions; and the important thing to note is that we're really looking for 'VA' to stand out. A lot of our servers, and other gaming related services generally start with "VA" due to how long 'Vigilant Addiction" is on various Social Media outlets.
So we want our public to be able to easily know that it's us when they see our "VA" logo and can identify with our current branding.
For something like this; would need to see the middle legs ' / ' come together as one... then perhaps the top half is turning red as the 'A' and the bottom half is 'V'.
Maybe inserting the angel halo at the bottom of the combined / in the middle and a pitch fork at the top.
The adjustment on the tip of the 'V' edges is nice! How about doing that on just the left tip of the V but more wing/feather looking like your previous designs with the shield.
Could do the same with the bottom-right of the 'A' - Swoosh it out very slightly and add a slight wing tip.
It's a decent start for this direction I believe. We think the flow of the "V" wing starting more in the upper-left (higher) like in your previous designs, and then having the Devil "A" wing finishing out lower, would give it a nice flowing look/appeal to the eye, like a ~ mark that's rotated 45 degree or so.

This may actually looking better on a Shield; with the Angel Halo and Pitch Fork being the 'Emblems' on each corner of the shield with the / slash down the center splitting the shield like in medieval shield designs.
I'm not exactly sure how symmetrical it could be, but we Googled "Medieval Shield Designs" to have a peak.
actualy, in my design was not using gradient color, i am using the flat color mode. thats why they are not much detailed. OK i will try to build it again. Anyway there is another good entries from another contestant. and it is good news, just want to make sure that you get good treatment in this site.
These designs have been great for the actual simple logo designs.
Could you do something in this nature by as a side-by-side? We feel like there's something there with the sharp points in the A that you could turn into a slight devil tail.
Then maybe a slight curve on the top of the 'V' (left side) that shapes into a small angel-like wing.
Something else that was just mentioned; is if you had thoughts/ideas on making the shield detailed with something as well; either a combination of color and texture.
The 'Shield' is getting more votes within the board members; adjustments of course were the tail being 'Red' and looking to belong better with the 'A' .

Hmm, it does look pretty busy, seeing it. Perhaps it may look better if it's just one set of wings, with White on the top half and red on the bottom half; and more centralized, down the base of the 'V' a little
Had a comment to see if we can have the wings also have the bottom half red or corrupted/falling apart looking. So the top half represents good and the bottom half evil.
The white tail would be misleading that it's coming from the 'V' with the color association. Some of the board members commented it may not even be needed. Overall, this design direction has them happy!
Probably wouldn't be a final selection but the texturing is interesting. Looking for more detailed design to really show that "Good Vs. Evil" when you first look at it. The letters on top isn't what we were expecting but we aren't opposed to it. I think the board would go with side-to-side letters easier, "VA".

Perhaps there's a way to make the wings still generally level along the same horizontal eye-view.
We're thinking more of a gradient-takeover in the middle, instead of a clear break between the Grey and Red.
Background Hexagon doesn't really do it. I think you've sold everyone on that shield shape; even with slight adjustments on size on the shield.
The tail through the halo was a good idea, but doesn't really fit our need. The smaller tip of the tail is better though.
