Hi Veronique,

I have gone with a stylised tulip design using the tail of the Q in Veronique as the leaves to bring harmony between the text and the symbol. Let me know your thoughts and any feedback/improvements that you may have. I personally prefer the version of the logo with the company name within the tulip and the slogan down the bottom as it breaks up the text nicely whilst also integrating the symbol into the text. This also would allow flexibility of having the logo with and without the slogan if needed. It also creates a triangular structure which is known as very stable and comfortable on the eye. I think the symbol is very unique in real estate communicating both elegance and the local flavour of Ottawa in a way that also represents trust and security.

Looking forward to your feedback,
Melissa

Hello Melissa! Thank you so much for your input! I was wondering if we changed the color of the tulip and keep the green leaves that it would help the eye a bit? The first thing that popped into mind when I saw it was that it looked like and apple. :)

So far you are on the right path! Do not hesitate to give me other concepts, city scapes, etc.

Thank you!

Hi,

Thanks for your feedback :) I noticed the apple similarity too. I played around with the character idea and I decided on the orange, having a Dutch background I associate orange with tulips and when I went to create the character I also realised the Mario Bros. flowers were orangey as well. Orange is also known in sales as a good call to action colour. I think the orange and green really play off each other for a fresh feel and that the smile on the character ties in with the slogan and the whole idea of going that extra mile with customer service. I was also thinking of an idea with several tulips so I will play with that and post up my concept.

Cheers,
Melissa

Hi,

Attached is an example with a row of tulips, I think this is my personally preferred one as the leaves become like hands and therefore more character like and tulips are often seen in rows compared to on their own.

There is also one of the city scape being underneath the tulip character, I like this however it might be a bit too much to make the tulip both a character and real estate-y. In general the simpler a logo the better and the less things that are trying to be communicated the more likely they are to be committed to memory by viewers. Think of the different concepts as competing with each other to be remembered.

I could also do one of a skyrise building and a house on its own with a different font. It is a very different style of logo to what is currently in the competition - known as international style. It also won't have any of the local flavour such as tulips and a character. Let me know if you would be interested in seeing this.

Entry #66 has a bigger smile and some cute little eyebrows just so that the character looks happier at the smaller size.

Hello again! I think I realized that the animated Tulip was a bit too childish for the clientele I am trying to reach... Would it be possible to tweek #27's Tulip? Make it more obvious that it is a Tulip and maybe incorporate something from the Ottawa area? You can google Ottawa pictures for ideas. :)

Thanks!
