Thank you very much for your post.

I am major fan of this design. If you wouldn't mind adding "LLC" to end, that would be terrific.

Also, I wouldn't mind seeing a few different font selections. Additionally, if you could get a slightly more colourful, but muted palette on the 'lens flare', that would be great!

Thank you very much,
Kind regards,

Also... Could you try colouring "Media" blue, and keeping Verite silver. That way the media applies to the film strip, and the lens applies to verite. I think that reflects the company better.

Thank you very much,

Hello Ray-

Thank you very much for the alterations!

I think we had a slight miscommunication on my part... I meaning to keep the film strip blue (Entry #61), and add a "muted colour pallet lens fare" to the actual lens within the logo -- not to colourise the film strip -- but to create a little spike of coloured light reflecting back off the lens. I hope this makes sense. These would be visual examples of a "flare" -

http://p2thewind45.deviantart.com/art/Lens-Flare-One-411620710

With regards to font, I think #61 / #65 appear to 'pop' the most, so let's stick with that particular font for the time being.

Lastly, I do feel the 'LLC' should be a little not subdued and smaller in font size along side 'Media'.

Thank you very much for your terrific work,
Kind regards,

Also, if there is anyway you could try and create an alternative logo that has a cameraman holding a camera, as verite is representing "fly on the wall" / observational filmmaking. I think that could be a strong visual.

Similar to --

I trust you ascetic judgement for the cameraman -- to create a clean, professional look. Please let me know if you have any questions / concerns.

Thank you very much,

Really like the way this logo is heading.

I know this might be a little nit-picky, but is there any chance I could see slightly smaller flare.

Also, I would love to see a design with the colour flaring another designer used --> #24. I feel the colours are muted and subtle enough, but it provides a little bit of dynamic to the lens.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Thank you very much,
Kind regards,

Hello Raymer-

Thank you very much for your alternations.

Unfortunately, I do not think the coloured lens flare works as strongly visually as I had hoped. I definitely feel Entrys #61 and #71 look the strongest.

I was wondering if you wouldn't mind adding "LLC" to Entry #61. Keep the lens clean though, with no lens flare. Additionally, could you quickly re-post Entry #71 without a lens flare. That way, I can visually compare identical logos, minus the difference in 'Verite Media' colouring.

Additionally, if you wouldn't mind also posting a lens flare version of Entry #61 (with "LLC" added), so I can compare that to Entry #71.

Finally, if you wouldn't mind creating on more flare version with the light 'refracting' off of the lens - http://blog.svconline.com/briefingroom/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/PL-19-90-Cabrio-ZK4-7x19-JPG-1.jpg.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you very much for all your excellent work.

Hello Raymer-

Sorry for the delay.

I have been really taking the time to think about the ascetic of the logo.

I have a few questions / revisions -

As 'verite' means 'truth' in French, I thought that may be seeing a few logos which are more metaphorical for a visual of 'truth', with a 'VM' emblem placed within it.

My thoughts were as follows--

A torch or magnifying glass, revealing the 'VM' emblem within it, to represent 'seeking/finding the truth'. Furthermore, I was thinking a more classical design for the font of 'Verite Media, LLC'. Lastly, Perhaps having a finger print, with a 'VM' emblem within it, having a torch shining light onto it, revealing it from the shadows. If you have any ideas, please do feel free to provide input.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you very much,
Regards,

-Alex

May be a camera + light revealing a finger print / VM emblem may work as well. A mixture of literal and metaphorical representation... I'm just trying to find a good middle ground between literal film representation and metaphorical representation of truth...

Thank you very much,

..if we are going a total change of direction Alexander, it could be best to get an extension and get some other designers back involved too as you have a good sight of what you are now looking for. Im also a little confused now as to the needs :/ Sorry

Raymer-

I have extended the contest for another 3-days and have updated the contest briefing.

What I feel would be most appropriate is a digital camera with the 'VM' initials placed within it.

I also feel the 'VM' font should be rather classic, with 'Verite Media, LLC' underneath the camera + logo.

To start with, I'd like to see the camera / LLC name in 18% grey.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you very much,
Kind regards,

Raymer-

Unfortunately, I am not looking for a stills/photography camera, but a digital/movie camera. However, I think I have a final idea in mind that I am ready to commit to...

As Verite does mean the truth, I think a magnifying glass, revealing the initials 'VM', within a finger print...

Visuals examples could include (to provide better direction on my part) --
http://www.worldofstock.com/stock-photos/fingerprint-with-a-magnifying-glass-revealing-binary/SMB1094
http://www.shutterstock.com/pic-66271969/stock-photo-magnifying-glass-looking-at-a-fingerprint-and-showing-binary-code.html

Please let me know if you have any other questions, or need guidance. Happy to clarify things if need be. I am SURE this is the one!

Thank you very much,
Kind regards,
