I have extended the contest for another 3-days and have updated the contest briefing.
What I feel would be most appropriate is a digital camera with the 'VM' initials placed within it.
I also feel the 'VM' font should be rather classic, with 'Verite Media, LLC' underneath the camera + logo.
To start with, I'd like to see the camera / LLC name in 18% grey.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

I accidentally miss-labelled the sender as Raymer in the previous message I posted. I have asked for an extension on the open-phase of this logo competition because I had a change of heart with my logo design...

#113 an approach to what you are asking, but still keeping key elements of my proposal: simple VM mark, flat colors (can be easily added as a watermark to your pictures)

Unfortunately, I am not looking for a stills/photography camera, but a digital/movie camera.
As Verite does mean the truth, I think a magnifying glass, revealing the initials 'VM', within a finger print...
