Ascetically, I really like entry #6.
I was wondering if you wouldn't mind doing a design utilizing a camera -- camera body + lens.
Also, let's keep the design patterns 1 color-way -- i.e. all blue and all grey, just to start.

I have extended the contest for another 3-days and have updated the contest briefing.
What I feel would be most appropriate is a digital camera with the 'VM' initials placed within it.
I also feel the 'VM' font should be rather classic, with 'Verite Media, LLC' underneath the camera + logo.
To start with, I'd like to see the camera / LLC name in 18% grey.

I'd particularly like to see some variations on the font. http://www.nzipp.org.nz/nzippweb/Default.aspx?tabid=197 -- Something similar to the Fuji-Film-Font might work nicely with the lens iris blades.

Visually, my eye appears to still be attracted to Entry #12, at least 'font-wise', that is definitely the preferred choice.
Could I see Entry #12 in the colour way of Entry #142 / #143?
Also, if you wouldn't mind providing 3-4 different font variations, just so I can just see a few different fonts with the lens iris blades...? I feel the logo is a little bit 'too' corporate looking, versus entertainment.

Thank you very much for your recent alterations.
After seeing the less-bond font in a darker shade of blue, I feel that this shade is too dark to be projected on a screen for film titles. Could I see a few variations / shades of blue? I am just not 100% certain of these two blues are the right colour-way for 'Verite Media'. Additionally, could you use a couple more classical based fonts to compare to a more modern 'business-esc' font.
