This concept comes from exploring the name and arriving at a clean, modern unique type treatment – subtle modifications to the type make it totally unique and give it a fashion edge. The icon is composed of V's – and it's a sort of stylised asterix if you like! It say's look at me. It's also got subtle references to the Union Jack (London/Fashion/Westwood...) and it could be used in many ways – enlarged as a backgorund, reapeated, well, just about anything. It also hints at a globe – giving an international flavour.
#5 Great entry. I like the thought that has gone into the icon. While it stands out with everything you are saying I'm looking for something that will be instantly recognisable in an icon (if an icon at all). I think the asterix may get lost by consumers and not be directly linked to the website. Definitely on the right track and I am a fan of the thought and precision in your design. Also, I think a little bit of focus as been taken off the name 'vamure' which is the number 1 priority in the logo design. If you can put your uniqueness into the name I think you could come up with something amazing!
