Will you please add a comma after the word "INSURANCE" and a period after "LTD" ? Also can you right justify the "INSURANCE, LTD." so that the end of the words aligns with the "R" in Valor?

Also, if we did decide to move a different direction, I do like your design with the "V", however do you have any ideas on incorporating some kind of subtle/abstract fire image into the letter "O" and highlighting that as the focal point instead of the "V?"

If you can use the purple/orange combinations. I like that! You can incorporate blue, i just don't like the very traditional blue yellow and red

i do know the word valor as i speak spanish and we use that a lot ,, but trying to show it in a logo is quite different :)
