This is interesting. I think if it's on the cover of the magazine the word "magazine" may be a bit too bit, but I like the general direction.

I like #5, but "Rental" should be the same size as "Vacation". Also the logo will just one color. And as much as I like the palm tree the magazine will be about properties around the world, not just in tropical locations.

I like #11, but again we don't want to use a palm tree since the magazine features properties in all parts of the world, not just tropical.

I like #14 even more, although the placement of the globe-like object is a little off. What if it replaced the "o" of vacation? Also the spacing of "Rental" is a little too wide. I know that's the challenge, visually balancing two words that have different lengths. This is getting closer. Another option would be to use the compass type object in #11 but have a globe inside rather than a palm tree, and place it after "rental" to balance out a rectangular shape.

I like #24 but the icon is a little big and heavy sitting by itself. It doesn't need to have an icon, we're going for a word mark, but if you want to include it perhaps replace the "o" of Vacation?

On #21 I don't like the heavy globe on top, but I DO like the treatment of "magazine".
