Would you try some other fonts & colors? the "u" should be fantastic, and please don't be afraid to use more design elements, like a texture or gradient on the box the U is in.
We would like the "u" in a box, or circle, like a social icon... like pinterest, facebook, twitter, etc. so the "u" has to be amazing, clean and simple at the same time!
