i like the braille dots - those are a keeper. at first, i like the sense of exuberance i get when i see the blind person on the back of the bike with hands raised in the air. but, the more i think of it, i'm concerned it would give people the impression that the blind person is just along for the ride, so to speak, and not an active participant.
#2 - what would it look like if the words U.S. Blind etc..... were angled slightly, tilting them in the direction the bike was going, as if the bicycle was rolling over them.
Maybe #1 and #2, where the blind person is in an active position, im working in the white can, so it can be a good reference. I would like the braille points says something like "cycling". I dont know braille and i been searching for a place where i can get the word, but i didnt find it.
Thank you so much for your feedback. Im working on your suggestions and i will submit the changes very soon.
i don't know any place online to get braille dots for words, but i do have blind friends so they could help with getting the actual dots correct. thanks for trying!
also, if there are braille dots, maybe there is no need for a white cane? i have no idea how to make a white cane look like a white cane. that is a tough one.
Do you like #8 and #7? without the white cane. I did those before, then i had the idea of the white cane in the hand of the blind person, for be recognizable. I want to put my effort in a single direction. Maybe we can start viewing more fonts and colors, but i would like first to choose the icon you like the most :)
Thank you so much for your feedback, is great working like this! :D
#7 and #8 I like the blue horizontal striping coming off the back of the bike. I also liked the flame in #1, #2, and #6. But, maybe the striping gives it more a sense of motion.
Also, I'm imagining those blue horizontal stripes going across a bike jersey and I think that would look very bold and colorful, a good thing. You are doing great!
Yes, let's eliminate the white cane in the logo and just go with Braille dots. When I get t-shirts made, I can even have the braille dots done in puffy paint, so the blind cyclists can feel and read the word.
One more thing, can you look at some photos of people riding tandems, and make sure we get the foot positioning in relation to the front and back wheel correct?
Dear CMT, my computer got a terrible virus, and i cant do nothing at all! Im in the computer of a friend right now. I will have to wait until monday to fix my pc. I wont be able to connect myself until then. Send you a big hug!
no problem about the virus. there is plenty of time. for #8 how would it look if the USBTCC is smaller - the U.S. Blind Tandem words etc.... don't stand out quite enough - they seem overshadowed by the big capitals.
Also, for #8, what about rearranging the order, vertically, in which the parts are layed out. What if the U.S. Blind Tandem ..... is at the top? Or what if the abbreviation USBTCC is not on there?
Thank you for wait! My computer is not fine yet, but im working with a friend and i made the changes #12, i took away the usbtcc and made the us blind tendem.... bigger, i corrected the foot of the blind person too.
#12 Hello, Is it possible to have the bicycle going the other direction - to the right? Also, how is it with a white background? Maybe blue and red for the letters/graphics.
Thanks so much. I prefer the multicolored blue stripes behind the bicycle like #17 instead of the same color of stripes like in #18.
Is it poissible to have "Blind Tandem Cycling" on one line - these 3 words all by themselves? Or "Blind TAndem Cycling Connection" all on one line? It seems when we add the U.S. part, the line becomes very long - too long for a cycling jersey.
Also, I think it looks better when the racing stripes extend the full length of the words, like in #22, instead of just part way across as in #21.
it's looking good - could we try having U.S. in red, too? and making the braille dots a bit darker - maybe the same color as the bicycle? feliz navidad
