Here is my initial design direction, given the fact that you handle both baseball and softball: #15
As I mentioned in my comment, I am still open to implementing an actual double play silhouette. I just haven't finished it yet. Also, there is something nice about the simplicity of this compared to having them included.
Feel free to comment on this version, but I will try and get others posted soon as well. Most notably, one that does indeed include someone turning two.
I look forward to working with you on this, as baseball logos are always my favorite ventures to tackle here! P.S. - I love the name.
We like the idea of half/half on the ball portion. Clever.
If we were to include the image of turing a double play, we want it to be more "professional" looking players, rather than generic player images. Not sure if that makes sense, but this logo will represent an ownership group, not the logo for our facility.
There is a possibility for it to be the facility name (and for travel team jerseys/shirts) in the future, but that is an unknown. Right now, we are bound by a franchise agreement and have to use the franchise name.
Sounds good, Adam. Thanks for the info. I am going to temporarily withdraw and rework the design. Hopefully I can get something done before your contest hits the Top 5.
After reviewing all of your logo options, I am starting to think that a cleaner, simpler image would be more powerful and memorable. Just my opinion, of course!
Here is my take on a more effective logo mark: #74
And here is one with a second base used, instead of home plate. The home plate shape is more universally recognized as a baseball shape, but the base is obviously more relevant and fitting! #75
