Discussion

I like 4 better than 3.

I like the concept a lot. The girl is a little to 50's looking to me. Perhaps if the hair was looser and the hand was straight out??

I really like this concept. Could you choose either a blue & aqua color scheme OR a magenta (more red than pink)? i don't want pink at all and don't want the magenta mixed in with anything other than black or white.

Hi "SN"

We love some of your designs. We like 23 a lot, but the woman figure feels too clip-arty, and the font could be a bit thinner. We like that 70 has a "full" moon in it, but don't love the woman - again, clip-arty. (however what we do like about her is that she looks positive, almost celebratory, but if she could be more flowing or looser in execution that would be great. What we like about 68 is although we don't know what it is, we like the style of the paint stroke, rather than a rigid line like the rest. What we like about 67 is that the font is shaded, though we do'nt care for the woman and stars (we do like the idea of several moons, or phases of the moon.

I looked at your other work on this site and we fell in love with the treatment you did for Salt Water Players - the shading of the font, the white cut out with loose black sketch... Could you do a treatment like that for TrueMoon? Either keep the moon solid and have a form cut out like the sailboat, or use the moon shape you've done for us already and have a loose black sketch of a woman reaching up to it.

If you'd like to communicate directly, please feel free... shelli@shelliwright.com

Hi,
Thank you very much for the great feedback!
Of course, my entries are just first proposals which are supposed to find out what kind of graphic style the client likes.
I will be happy to work more on this project, we still have time.
Thanks.

Gotcha. Thanks. Didn't realize the policy about emails.
Yours are definitely consistently our favorites : )

Could you do one more thing to #68? Using the paint-style stroke, make the moon circle image have an arrow at one end, giving it the implication that it's a cycle. thanks!

Damn, you are on a roll! I would like 84 a lot if the blue was in black and the name wasn't on a slant...

Funny how things evolve. #76 is one of the two best of the whole 109 entries!

Can you take away the stuff on the left?
Also, if there is any way you can do a second version that implies the phases/or cycles of the moon, that would be great!

Oh, and I almost forgot. Lose the arrow. I know... I asked for it. But it was a bad idea.

this is now the front runner. could you play with color a little?

do a version where you add a color (green or orange)
and then a version where you use red, orange, yellow instead?

After following your requested revisions, my logo wound up looking too similar to another designer's logo. It was unintentional. Now I have to withdraw my logos which he considers too similar, in order to avoid logo court. I hope you understand. Thank you.
