#26 - 29 are a fresh approach. 28 is clean and simple. May want to play with the font for "true" at some point (e.g., thicker). I like 27 and 29 a lot. The only hesitation is the 'compass arrow' symbol point to neither magnetic or true north which has an off strategy connotation for investments. 26 is a fresh approach, but not sure it really works. Boy, it's tough to decide what the best combination is. (I'm usually not stumped.) I like the original color scheme in #29 as it's very strong and replace #28 with #83 in that treatment. What do you think? Love your opinion overall. I also love the arc/circle element, but the "pointer" that goes with it is problematic where "up" pointer works, but isn't as elegant. What if you did a version of #28 and/or #85 where you filled in longitude/latitude grid lines under the arc to greate a globe effect (background fade so it doesn't compete) and put the pointer on top of that (either up or tilted, but with the north axis in either case)? Is that crazy or what do you think? If so, love to see a stab at that. Thanks!
